Met de laatste weken maar liefst 3 overnames door Google in slechts 4 weken tijd (van Feedburner, Panoramio en Green Border Technologies) lijkt Google een enorme overname woede te ontwikkelen. Tijd voor een historisch overzichtje van de Google overnames!Het volgende lijstje biedt niet alleen inzicht in de strategie van Google. Het geeft een mooi inzicht in hoe Google ontwikkelde van puur een zoekmachine naar een marketing organisatie.
Veel overnames zijn nog steeds gelieerd aan zoekdiensten zoals de eerste overname, van Deja.com, waarmee Google Usenet Groups kon doorzoeken tot Feedburner voor Google Reader RSS diensten en Keyhole voor Google Earth.

Uit dit lijstje blijkt verder ook een significante toename in het aantal overnames. In de eerste helft van 2007 zouden er net zoveel overnames als geheel vorig jaar zijn geweest. Ik ben benieuwd hoe zich dat in de tweede helft van 2007 verder gaat ontwikkelen.
Iemand suggesties en/of aanvullingen?!
Of wie denk je dat Google binnenkort over gaat nemen!? Yahoo? Salesforce?
